Code of Conduct

Compliance
with the following Code of Conduct is implicit within membership of the
UKTA |
Members
shall: - |
1. |
Deal
fairly and reasonably with their customers at all times and do their utmost
ensure that they are satisfied with the services provided. |
2. |
Manage
their business in such a way as to provide the highest practicable standards
of customer care, maintenance and safety. |
3. |
Provide
within the cost of each event full public liability insurance up to and
no less than the amount of £5 million. |
4. |
Maintain
full employers liability insurance. |
5. |
Operate
a detailed risk assessment manual and to operate within the guidelines
set out therein. |
6. |
Ensure
that no information is knowingly given to customers that is misleading
and to maintain adequate expertise within any field of the industry in
which ability is claimed. |
7. |
Give
due consideration to the requirements of disabled people or those with
special needs and make suitable provision where practicable. |
8. |
Deal
efficiently with all enquiries, requests, correspondence and complaints
from customers and generally conduct their business in a way, which shall
maintain the standards of the event industry. |
In
cases of non-observance of this Code the Association reserves the right
to refuse or withdraw a Member's eligibility to participate in any of
the Association's activities. |
